If only I could splurge on $1,500 dollars and buy this beautiful stunning ring! What do you think is it worth the price tag? This is only hypothetical because I already know I can't have it! I love either really simple rings and the opposite where it is romantic vintage or unique rings! A Perfect Day with Katie and Kaitlyn

I finally got family vistors to my new pad! I was so excited to have them come and spend time with me! We went to the South Coast Plaza Mall and had lunch at the Corner Bakery. Then we took Kaitlyn to the carousel for some old fashioned fun! Sees Candy was next on the list and we got decadent chocolate. Then we hit some favorite stores, Ann Taylor Loft, Disney store (I almost drooled over the Princes ha-ha). That store makes me wish I had money so I could spoil all my little cousins.

Then we went to Borders and I got a Twilight Movie book and again wished I had lots of money to spend on little people and myself! We also went to a few other places and then headed back to my house and said our goodbyes until Thanksgiving. The best part of the day was just spending time with two people I love and seeing Kaitlyn's excitement when I opened the door when they came!


We did not see Santa, but I had to get the picture, we are waiting for Disneyland so all Taylor family members could be there (We were missing Dale).

I love my cousins!

Its Christmas time....(Not really, it is not even Thanksgiving when we went!) I actually am glad they started early so I could see it all at Christmas time!

Carousel in the mall, could there be a better concept than this? This mall is incredible, but it does have the affect of making you feel really poor and unfashionable. There are a ton of designer clothing shops and frankly who has that kind of money these days to be frivolous! Even if I did have the money, I would rather set it aside as an emergency fund, a future car or a fun trip.

Look how happy she is! She wanted me to ride on one too, but it was already moving so I could not fulfill her request! Maybe at Disneyland!

What a blast, I am so honored that they would drive about 2 hours each way to come see me for an afternoon! That my friend is love :) Who is coming next? I am always happy to have vistors.

Twilight Evening!

My love affair with Edward Collins continues as I imagine myself Bella Swan in the arms of my first love. It was worth the wait in line on Friday to see this love story on the big screen. I am willing to share this love with others so read the book, watch the movie and fall in love all over again with a new fictional character. You will not be disappointed! :) As a side note, I had a blast with Jen looking at purses and shoes at DW Shoes and going into Nordstrom Rack trying on crazy outfits and talking southern since we share those roots!

Turkey 101

For enrichment, they thought they would enlighten us on how to make and cook a turkey (for when we are future homemakers). I have always been a bit curious about this process so I made sure I was there for this blessed event.

For those of you who have ever made a turkey; the process as you know will be daunting. It is even a little frightening if you ask me. Have you seen the neck!!! I will not even say what it reminds me of. The very thought of touching the insides of the turkey makes me cringe. I am very happy to not have to cook a turkey and the longer I put it off the better it seems.

I really do not like touching and cooking with raw meat and the process of it all makes me wonder if it is worth all the effort. I am glad to see what a process it really is. Because now I know to be more THANKFUL for the people who slave away cooking it and touching the bird in its raw form. Wish me luck in the future and if you are cooking the bird this year for Thanksgiving you have my sympathies.

The San Francisco Ballet

I had a wonderful evening with my friend Heather! She is a lot of fun to spend time with. We both love reading and she works at the Library near where I live as a branch manager. I actually met Heather at the Seacliff ward. Check out her book reviews in my Wow Factor. We went to the Lazy Dog Cafe and I had a shrimp orange peel wok and it was amazing! I really am impressed with this place. Every time I have been there they do everything to make it an enjoyable night and this was no exception (even though there were a few mix ups). When we got there we opted for a patio seat so we could get served faster and make it to the ballet.

Well our order was late coming out so they brought us this delicious bread. Then when it did come out, it was the wrong orders so they compt the meal and quickly brought out our correct orders as soon as possible. I thought that was excellent customer service because they owned up to being late and giving the orders. I really would recommend this place and I hope everyone can have a chance to go. I love the atmosphere and the customer service is excellent. After studying business for so long I really admire companies who go the extra mile to service the customer and I feel they did on this occasion.

The Ballet was breathtaking. I loved the middle act and the best part was when the dancers were moving in ballroom steps with ballet moves. I loved it and thought that when I get to the other side I am dancing as much as possible because then I can move that gracefully. After the ballet we went and got ice cream at a place nearby that hand makes their ice cream. We went to Heather's house and talked for awhile. It always fun to spend time with a great friend!

The Importance of Being Earnest

What is in a name? Well for some lovely ladies, everything of value is in the name Earnest. Someone honest, handsome and alluring. Well, after watching this play I would have to say the lovebirds were well suited for each other.

I enjoyed the play immensely and wished everyone reading this could have also attended. I know I am an avid play watcher, I want everyone else to as well. But, I love the theatre and the only thing that would have made it more perfect of an evening would be to have a beautiful ball gown and either Mr. Darcy or Edward Cullen as my date.

There is something so alluring about men from the 1800's. But then again I have not ever lived in that century and men are probably not what Jane Austin painted, just like Edward does not really exist in this century even though he was from 1901; but has lived through several centuries. I like that he continues practicing civility even in a century that does not quite practice it. Not that I am complaining, there are wonderful men out there in our century who still know how to be a gentleman. :)
