My fun adventure in the Bahamas and Florida

This last week, I have spent in Florida and a cruise to the Bahamas on the Royal Caribbean. I went with my parents, my brother John and his wife Lindsay. We had so much fun. I have never been on a cruise and for being my first one I would say it was pretty great! The food was great and I tried new dishes to be adventurous. The shrimp was pretty great and I will say that the steak was my favorite. My favorite day on the cruise was Sunday. We were at Coco Kay, a private island owned by Royal Caribbean. I think the reason I loved it so much is the time I got to spend relaxing with my brother and sister-in-law. We were in the bluest water and there was a nice breeze. It was great to talk to John, about the things that matter the most to me in my life and to know he also wants some of the things I desire.

I got completely sunburned and I put on 30 SPF twice! I think 65 percent of my body is sunburned and I can hardly move my shoulders. The other reason Sunday was my favorite is they had a musical flashback show and it was fun to reminisce over the 80s (Since I was not alive for the 50s-70s). The guy sitting near us was so excited when they did an impression of Prince, it made me smile. After the show they did a Newlywed game show that was pretty hilarious. Something that made me laugh the most was top questions asked by new cruisers. For example, one lady asked if the island of Coco Kay was surrounded by water! They also had a great comedy act by Michael Williams on Saturday night and he was hilarious (He did impressions of Cosby, Seinfeld, Barney Fife and others).

The service was incredible, the waiters remembered what you like, and your name and the room attendant went the extra mile, made animals out of towels! Thomas did an elephant (my favorite animal) and a cute little turtle. Another favorite memory of the trip is having dinner as a family every night. Being single you hardly ever get a meal with your family. John did a British impression of my Dad and the food, which I got on film and it is pretty funny. Formal night was fun to dress up and get pictures taken. Bring lots of money if you ever go on a cruise. One picture cost me $17.00 dollars, at the straw market I purchased a Coach and Louis Vuitton knock off bags for about $100 dollars.

We went to two art auctions and I learned so much about different artists and their work. I also won the raffle and will be receiving a free piece of art! Life is great. I think those are the highlights of the cruise. When we got back to Jacksonville, they had major rainstorm and it was flooding on the street John works on.

Overall, it was a perfect trip because I had my family surrounding me and it got me away from my stressed out job.
