A Day Trip to Vegas

Uncle Chuck telling us their cute love story. He noticed her when he was drving around and then the next day they went to church together.

They are so cute together and they just MATCH! If you know what I mean! Some couples just look so good together, its mainly because they kind of look like each other!

Kaitlyn's adorable dress, I had to get a picture of it!

Table of presents!

Cool Cake!

Auntie and my Uncle Jim, it was his birthday that day! We LOVE him!!!! Auntie is so thoughtful, she made sure she had a cake for him!

I look so tall compared to Auntie!

Aunt Kendra, getting in good with Kaitlyn!

My Aunt Judi and I (My Mom's Sister!)
This trip was a showing of absolute LOVE to my Great Aunt and Uncle! Only because we drove about 7 1/2 hours total in one day to be there for their 60th anniversary luncheon. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, beautiful, and great to see them and all the family. I just was so tired that weekend and I could feel that I was going to be sick if I did not get rest. I slept a lot in the car, made my Aunt and cousin Katie laugh hysterically at my antics. My friend Caralee help me out with my hair and put old school curlers in it so my hair could be curly this particular weekend.

So when we got to a rest stop, I had to go to the bathroom and I was not about to take out the curlers until we got to Vegas, so I pulled my hoodie over my head to try and cover all the curlers, I had NO makeup on, which I was fine with, but I also had my dress on and boots! I walked with my Uncle to the Bathroom and I finished before him so I waited for a few minutes, but I felt foolish because a few people were looking over and laughing a little at me. So I started walking back to the car and there was my Aunt, laughing so hard in the car! I started laughing and we had a good time.
Then we caught up to Katie and Dale and I popped up from lying down in the car and smiled and waived to Katie from my window and she started laughing. They said I was one of the highlights of the trip. I was glad to be of service!

My Aunt and Uncle are fully committed to each other and have been married for 60 wonderful years. They are more like Grandparents to me, since mine passed away when I was younger. My Uncle Chuck is my Grandpa's younger brother. When I saw a picture of my Grandpa there, it made me sad, that I got cheated out of all the cousins. Being the youngest, you get the least amount of time with the older folks! I love Grandparents and the Elderly and so this is a little hard. I adored my Grandpa! So back to the event, it was great, the food from Lucille's Barbecue was yummy and my cousin Heather is engaged. I got to see my Aunt Judi, my Mom's older sister. It was a fun day.

A Fun Date with John, 2/4/09, Wednesday Night

Being Silly!

So I am blogging about this date, because it was really fun! John makes me laugh every time I am with him! We both have perfected different accents, he does great impressions of southern accents, British accents and I found out Mickey Mouse impressions. So we had a great time going in and out of accents all night. At first we were going Bowling, but when we got there they were having a tournament so we nixed that idea and went to Irvine Spectrum and walked around. Which was perfect! We improvised well:

Barnes and Noble where we read fun books together....

We went to Urban Outfitter's (cool store by the way) and found some unique things to try on! We were laughing so much over these outfits.

John Loved the Sunglasses!

This book had us both laughing so much on every page and we did not get to finish it because when the worker told us to move this chair we were using she was really serious and seemed a little annoyed at how much we were enjoying ourselves! So we left and got these really good sweetheart fries at this healthy type food place (Can't remember the name). Its basically sweet yams in a fries format but healthy because its baked. They were soooo good!

It was a really fun night and loads of laughs!

PinkBerry and Bride Wars, Friday Jan 30th

My new friend Katie and I got together to watch a fun chick flick and to get PinkBerry. Thanks to Ashley for her birthday PinkBerry gift to me, I did not spend a cent! I love it :) I also used my free movie ticket that I won! Life is so good. So anyways, the company of course was awesome, I really got to know Katie better and seriously there is so much to love about her and I am grateful to have her for a friend. We talked till about 3 AM about everything. The movie made me cry, thinking of Tara, my dear friend in Utah, because of the closeness of the two friends in the movie and also a little bit of their personalities. I probably favor Anne Hathaway in the movie and she is like Kate Hudson.

So anyways, there was a scene in it, which means I can't recommend it. Its basically they are at her girls night out before the wedding and it takes place in a not so good place. I wish they would cut junk like that out of the movie; because it would be great without it! I love the ending and it has some really funny parts in it. So anyways that is my synopsis of it. Its PG-13 and so just expect if you do see it that there is some things in it that makes it questionable unfortunately. The night was fun with Katie and I must say PinkBerry is so yummy with its fresh fruit and have you had the pomegranate flavor yet? Its so good!!!

The Birthday Girl with her trademark pose!

My little cousin' party was so special and fun! It was a Unicorn themed party and the kids had such a great time playing pin the horn on the unicorn, hitting the pinata, a scavenger hunt for unicorns and eating cake and opening presents. The adults had fun watching and helping the children. I think we all got to hold the newest addition to the Graves Family. I sure love this little doll! I gave up a cool single adult ward shooting and rock climbing trip to go to this party, thats how much love I have for this darling! It was well worth it though! The hug she gave me when I got there, I would not trade for the world.
