Auntie and Uncle Chucks Part II

What did we do?In Vegas, we went to the adventure done in Circus Circus where we each picked a ride. Brendon, Kendra and I went on the roller coaster and it was a lot of fun! Brendon and Kendra went on this ride that flipped them over and it looked pretty exciting!

I think its cool that I have red hair in this picture because of the color in the dome! I kissed a pirate, (Sorry Jeff :) I think Jeff is way cuter, but since he was not there, I had to substitute! J/K!

Looks pretty cool huh!

We went to the park and had a pinic and watched the children play in the water. This is my cousin Brendon, pouting since I would not let him use my cell phone! J/K! He is just posing!
We had fun watching movies like Home Alone and the political debates on cable.

My Boyfriend Jeff is AMAZING!!!

So, I know I have kept you all in the dark about my dating life. I do that in all honesty to protect you from heartache and disappointment that I go through as I navigate through my dating experiences. But, I finally have confidence to post about this new boyfriend because he is different and he makes me feel adored. So he gets to be recognized and part of my blog!

I am following up this blog later with all the juicy details of our courtship for the past three months so you are all caught up. But due to the late hour and only having half of it written, I might do it in segments. I promise to answer what I think are all of your questions and then if you have any left then I will answer it.

Here is a story to illustrate why Jeff is a wonderful and amazing boyfriend:

Today I was in the walk in office meeting with students face to face; when Jeff and I were communicating. He asked me if the office where I meet with students is the same office I work in. I told him, No and he said I might want to go and check my desk. So off I hobbled to the building across the street and came across this:

Monday night, I was devastated because my physical therapist said he did not think I should ever plan on dancing again because it would be such a huge risk of tearing my calf muscle completely. He believed the current tear to be at 50 percent ripped. Of course this news was heart wrenching to me and after leaving I immediately called Jeff. I proceed to cry a little as I told him the news and he sympathized with me. So he sent me flowers today because of how upset I was and he wanted to make me feel better. He told me that he felt like he wanted to cry for me last night; because he knew how important dancing was to me. What a man is all I can say! I am so lucky :)
Today, When I went to my sports medicine doctor he told me I am in luck because it only tore 10 percent and so I should regain the usage of my leg and he thinks that in time and with proper physical therapy I can dance again! So all is well and I wanted to take the time to brag about my wonderful boyfriend for being so thoughtful and caring. Thanks Jeff!
It is so wonderful to have a great boyfriend!

Playing catch up... :) Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day with Auntie and Uncle Chuck and Kendra, Dave and the kids

PART 1

Kendra and David invited me to ride along with them and spend the labor day weekend in Vegas with my Great Auntie and Uncle Chuck. We left late Friday night and returned Monday afternoon. My Auntie and Uncle Chuck are special to me for many reasons. Some of my strongest memories happened in their home as a child. Uncle Chuck is brothers with my Grandpa on my Mom's side. About 10 years ago, they moved from CA to Las Vegas, much to my disappointment because they sold the last childhood memory house I had. Putting that aside; I am happy for them that they are in such a beautiful area and it is nicer for them. Luckily, they brought a lot of the memories to this new house. Here are some snapshots down memory lane:

My Great Uncle Chuck is a big collector of things like clocks and hats. So growing up he had many clocks all over and can fix any of them. My Auntie collects the matchsticks!

My Dad gave this to them along time ago and I can remember even as a child it being in their home.

The candy was another favorite thing, Katie and I would sneak candy all the time, mainly because we did not want our parents and grandparents to know how much we were eating of it. Auntie never minded that is why its there!

This is my dear sweet Uncle Chuck! He is the best and such a great person to talk with!
This is my Auntie up early making us her AMAZING breakfasts! She goes all out with biscuts and gravy, bacon, fruit, etc... Her other meals are also great and so is such a good cook! I remember going over there when my Auntie's Mother was alive and they would make homemade candy. I thought it was so fascinating! :)

Auntie makes afgans that she crochets and she taught me how to crochet when I was younger, I wish I still remembered. I think it could come back to me :)

This is the school bell that my great grandfather would ring to call the children into school since he was a school teacher in AK. He was also a farmer and they moved to California once all their children moved out there.
